Advice on Emailing MT GunsPlease understand that we handle an immense quantity of emails, so anything you can do to help streamline the process will be greatly appreciated. If you’re looking for a catalog or list of inventory with prices, we don’t have one. Our business is based on personal service, and Mac Tilton, with over 50 years experience, is more than qualified to help you choose the rifle that will best suit your needs. We’d like to know the events you intend to shoot—prone, benchrest, position, etc.—and your budget. We have a wide range of used rimfire target rifles, most of which we import from Europe, and the chances are good that we have one that will fit your budget. We have Anschuetz 1400 series, 1600 series, and 1800 series rifles, in various different stock conformations. We have most of the BSA Martinis, Models 12, 13, 12/15, and 15, and the Internationals, Mk I-II, Mk III, Mk IV, Mk V. We often have Walther, Suhl, Unique—good left handers--Feinwerkbau and Weihrauch rifles. The Walthers in particular are often a good value, as the quality and accuracy is comparable to an Anschuetz, but they cost less. We have many Winchester Model 52, and a few Model 70s in target configurations. We have Remington 37s, 40x. The condition of these rifles varies—in general newer models are better cosmetically—but most are in excellent mechanical condition, and will shoot very well. If you’re looking for the best value, it is sometimes possible to make concessions on the cosmetics of your rifle, and still get an excellent shooter at a lesser price. This applies especially to the older models. Once you have narrowed your search, it’s often possible for us to photograph the specific rifle we’ll sell you. Still, please understand that this takes time, and often you’ll receive your rifle sooner if you forego the specific photograph. And we commonly have images in our archive of most models—we call these generic photographs—so you can get an idea of what that specific model looks like. All rifles are priced individually, depending on condition and accessories. In general, rifles are priced with sights. Sometimes the best way to narrow your search is just to call or e-mail Mac Tilton at 805 720-7720 or Mac Tilton - e-mail. Finally, we have a three week please take it out and shoot it return policy. Please do shoot your rifle, and if you don’t like it, we’ll replace it or refund your money. OrderingWhile we are happy to take orders over the phone, we find it quickest if, once you’ve settled on a specific rifle, you email us your address and phone number. That way we can complete an invoice, and email it right back to you. That way you’ll have the exact price. In addition to payment, we’ll need a signed copy of your transfer agent’s FFL, either faxed to 805 845-6653, or emailed, or hard copy to accompany payment. We accept checks, money orders, and credit cards, but there’s a 2% surcharge on credit cards. Customers electing to use a credit card often call with the number, as emails might not be secure. The number to call is 805 680-0201. When all the papers are in order, your rifle will be shipped FedEx Ground. FedEx will email you a tracking number when the rifle ships. |
